The first round of voting in the inaugural Eater Hottest Chef in the Bay Area competition has come to an end, and the initial pool of 32 has been narrowed down to nine. Saison's Joshua Skenes received, by far, the most votes for a runner-up—a whopping 756 (not even on a weekend, to boot)—so he's the Wild Card representative. Tomorrow, Round Two will kick off with William Werner (Quince) going up against Skenes and Jon Darksy (Flour + Water). On Wednesday and Thursday, Melissa Perello (Frances), Dennis Lee (Namu), Dominique Crenn (Luce), Louis Maldonado (Aziza), Timothy Hollingsworth (French Laundry) and Tom McNaughton (F+W) will follow suit.
