SOMA—There's another new executive chef at Bacar, which has been making plenty of personnel moves since Robbie Lewis left a year ago. The new chef is Douglas Bernstein, who was last seen at Eccolo. He's been working in the Bacar kitchen for the last two months and soon he'll roll out his new dinner, brunch and bar menus. [EaterWire]
THE MISSION—As noted by Grubz, Nombe's liquor license finally went through this week, meaning that the newish izakaya is now serving beer, wine, sake and shochu cocktails. [GS]
POTRERO HILL—An update from Lingba, which is still slated to shutter this weekend. Though the restaurant will close, they will keep the bar open for drinks for the time being while they explore their buy/sell/etc. options. [EaterWire]
