Metro Cafe Bows Out After Short-Lived Revamp

New, 3 comments

As the end of the year (quickly!) approaches, the flurry of closures continues. The latest victim of the times is a Metro Cafe, which just reinvented itself back in July. The eatery was previously Divisadero's beloved Nepalese joint Metro Kathmandu, but then decided to morph it into a "California comfort cuisine" restaurant first called District 5, then called Metro Cafe. In a farewell email, popular husband-and-wife owners Roshan and Shradha say they simply got hit too hard by the recession, and that after three years in the space, they look forward to a few weekends off, with no immediate plans for a new project.
