More closures notices are on tap later today, but first, the latest victim of the year-end flurry of shutter action is the restaurant that bills itself as the Castro's only French restaurant, Cote Sud. The second-floor, 55-seat space was a unique one, but for whatever reason, the restaurant—and the food—never quite reached its potential as a cozy neighborhood spot with live music and everything. Like several others, the jazzy bistro will shutter after one last New Year's Eve hurrah in what's been a big year of dining changes in the Castro. Godspeed.
