On the corner of Jackson and Columbus, a tipster sends word that Pickles has been dark for at least the past week, with signs on the windows citing a holiday break of sorts. The new version of Pickles reopened in February after a terrifying stint as Clown Alley, but since then, things have been rather shaky, with the burger shop's grandiose plans of dinner and 3AM late-night service never quite coming to fruition.
As for the suspiciously sudden month-long closure, there's no outgoing message acknowledging/explaining the vacation, the website is MIA, and there's no return date, so for now, we'll simply file this away as curious. Plus, given that the restaurant's owner, the legendary Tom Duffy (of Myth fame) passed away a few months ago, there are rumblings that his widow is trying to decide what exactly to do with the space, so stayed tuned.
Anyone with more info, do share.
