Leo Giorgetti, the restaurateur who ran the legendary Iron Horse on Maiden Lane, passed away over the weekend: "In its day - in the '50s '60s and early '70s - the Iron Horse was one of the city's top dining and drinking spots, favored by celebrities and political figures, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Liberace. Joe DiMaggio, the hometown hero, often occupied a corner booth ... Mr. Giorgetti presided over the place, as owner, sometimes maitre d' and occasionally dishwasher." [Chron]
