LA v. SF

M-Biggity, on the differences between dining in San Francisco and Los Angeles: "At least three restaurants I visited had no traditional seating. At XIV, fake fur throws are slung over sofas that serve as dining room chairs ... I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing; but it spotlights that the food -- no matter how good -- often takes the back seat to the experience." Oh, and next time you blanch at the double-digit cocktails of SF, consider the $16 cocktails down south. [BauerBlog]
