Two is a Trend: Celebrity Impersonator Entertainment

New, 6 comments

North Beach: It's come to our attention that there's a new mini-trend picking up at some restaurants around town, namely North Beach (obviously): musical performances by celebrity impersonators. For a few months now, Joey & Eddie's—whose price/value point is drawing very good crowds in this new economy—has been hosting a variety of special acts, such as Frank Sinatra Tuesdays and Rat Pack Sundays. Now, Fior d'Italia is following suit by offering its own "entertainment nights": a four-course dinner with Dean Martin or Elvis (though the $75 pricetag is a bit much). We had no idea San Francisco had so many of these Vegas acts, but hey, we suppose that in the right place, a little bonus cheesy dinner entertainment can't hurt to draw in diners/tourists in times like these.

In any event, for those about to rock ... we salute you?
