New, 2 comments

CHINATOWN—Please be advised that late night fave Yuet Lee will be shuttered for the next two weeks, to return on April 8th. The vacation comes amidst rumblings that the Yuet Lee folks are (or were) looking to sell. That, or there's another famous Chinese restaurant on the corner of Stockton and Broadway that's for sale. [EaterWire]

THE MISSION—Per Lady Hopstress, the former 12 Galaxies space on Mission Street will soon transform into Blue Macaw, "a restaurant, bar, and club with a focus on international music." Not to be confused with filmdom's Blue Parrot, we suppose. [TH]

ST. HELENA—The latest fine dining restaurant to offer a more affordable option is Meadowood, where Christopher Kostow is now offering a $35 two-course fireside bar menu. [NVR]

FIDI—Beginning tonight and taking place every other Tuesday through May, Seasons Bar and Lounge will hold special a “Meet the Winemaker” series. Tonight's guest is Steve MacRostie of MacRostie Winery in Sonoma who will be pouring a flight of four wines for $35. [EaterWire]

THE MARINA—Speaking of wine specials, Terzo is kicking off a new deal: Sunday through Thursday (weekdays) from 3/29t to 5/31, all bottles of wine that cost $40 or less are half off for dinner guests. [EaterWire]

SACRAMENTO—Everywhere you look, Gardens be popping up: "California's first lady, Maria Shriver, is taking a page from first lady Michelle Obama in announcing plans for an edible garden on the grounds of the state Capitol." Alice Waters is having the best week ever! [AP]
