EaterWire: Kitchenette Unleashed, E&O New Menu Update

New, 1 comment

THE DOGPATCH—All the rage on the lunchtime scene is the week-old Kitchenette, a makeshift midday option on the loading dock of CRE LRE Catering. Both 7x7 and SF Weekly have filed early reports, and now, Kitchenette is on Twitter. Brace for this one: "@kitchenettesf: "tomorrow the myth becomes reality: maple bacon snickerdoodles with fatted calf bacon!" 958 Illinois Avenue, between 20th and 22nd; 11:30am-1:30pm. [EaterWire]

UNION SQUARE—Everyone's been wondering when exactly Arnold Eric Wong's impact will be felt at E&O Trading Company. Well, his new menu will roll out at the San Francisco location next Tuesday the 31st. Wong was once the chef-owner of Eos and Bacar, and his new menu will be contemporary Asian-inspired fare with an emphasis on ingredients. [EaterWire, previously]

THE MISSION—OK, we know San Francisco loves its ad hoc food endeavors (see above), but we can't help but wonder if this lovely fellow just might be a bit much: "I finally stopped on my way in to BART at 24th and Mission and availed myself of the Amuse-Bouche stand. He sells a small pastry of some kind and a small cup of hot beverage for a buck. What a deal! [40 Going on 28 via Mission Mission]

THE MARINA—We touched on the Tipsy Pig buzz yesterday, but here's one more tidbit: as of Tuesday, they've dedicated a server specifically for the back patio and there's now a special "garden menu" (i.e., a bar menu for outside). [EaterWire]
