Citing seismic issues and stimulus money, the city is hoping to tear down the building at 525 Golden Gave Avenue that is next door to the shuttered Trader Vic's (closed in December '07), but Trader Vic's is now suing: "Trader Vic's Management Corp. and the aptly named Mai Tai Investors LP, which leases the building at 555 Golden Gate Ave., are suing in San Francisco Superior Court, saying the demolition project forced them to close their restaurant." So they're blaming a construction site next door. And here we thought Vic's closed because no one went there anymore. Update: much more on the situation over at Curbed. [City Insider]
