Last week, Bauer sparked some controversy with his take on tipping, and today, his East Coast counterpart Frank Bruni shares some musings of his own: "I find the dollar-per-drink rule equally peculiar, because it has indeed become, with inflation, too striking a departure from what happens when you tip on a full meal ... As [drinks] become more expensive, shouldn’t his or her compensation go up?" Bartenders and drunkards, feel free to weigh in. [NYT via ENY]
