OAKLAND—Before we head off into the weekend, an update from across the Bay on a pair of delayed projects. First, Bar Lata—the Oakland tapas bar from Daniel Olivella of B44—has pushed back its debut to next Wednesday. Elsewhere in Oaktown, Dopo spinoff Adesso continues to feel the frustration surrounding the liquor licensing red tape. Sources there are still unsure as to when exactly they'll open, but fingers are crossed for next week. [EaterWire]

MARIN—Up in Larkspur, this weekend will be the swan song for Noonan's, the bar and grill perhaps best known for having a bar that was 80 feet long. It will shutter for good after service tomorrow night. [EaterWire]

HAYES VALLEY—We meant to get to this earlier in the week, but better late than never we suppose. Jamie Lauren, tongue firmly in cheek, is putting together a "Top Scallop" menu at Absinthe on March 18-20 in honor of the nickname bestowed upon her by Fabio. More details at Zagat. [EaterWire]

UK— The number of diners who have fallen ill from eating at the UK temple of molecular gastronomy, the Fat Duck (background here) now has now reached over 400. [Guardian]
