This week, Patty Examiner heads to the Mission for another hole-in-the-wall find at La Oaxaquena. The newish place is authentic Oaxacan, and has sexy tortas too: "I discovered why so many eat tortas here: La Oaxaqueña bakes its own airy rolls, which crisp up sexily but stay soft inside. Thin slices of highly seasoned, well-cooked meats like venison ($9.95) with melted tart quesillo, pickled jalapenos, lettuce and tomato are lubricated by the buttery griddled surfaces of the roll."
