Weird Fish v. Yelp

New, 5 comments

2008_07_yelpwantedsmall.jpgTimothy Holt, owner of Weird Fish and The Corner, has had it up to here with Yelp and its highly-questionable ethics. The recap: a year ago, he posted a review on Yelp, thanking/addressing customers. This weekend, Yelp removed five positive reviews, including the aforementioned one. The move comes in the wake of a recent barrage of unsuccessful advertising pitches. Now, it's one thing to crack down on shilling, but removing year-old reviews after a refusal to advertise? That's poor form at best, extortion at worst. [via Mission Mission]
