Welcome Signs: Red's Java House Extends Hours

The Embarcadero: Big news from a local icon sittin' on the dock of the Bay (and an occasional Bourdain haunt): Red's Java House has finally extended its hours. For years, the shack has closed at 3pm on normal business days, but now, service will officially continue until 6pm every day (sidenote: still open at 7am on weekdays, 9am on weekends). And of course, the epic dirt-cheap prices for food, beer and liquor are still very much in effect. $11 for a pitcher of Anchor Steam on the water cannot be beat. That, friends, is kind of a fact.
