Julie's Supper Club Loses Liquor License; Future in Doubt

SoMa: Only a few years after the big overhaul/comeback, the future is once again in doubt for Julie's Supper Club on Folsom (Julie's Supper Club 2, if you want to get fancy). Once upon a time, Julie's was a pioneering restaurant in the SoMa corridor, but its recent incarnation has been more bar/club than restaurant. Over the weekend, the ABC stripped the joint of its liquor license and though Julie's was technically open yesterday, a liquor-less bar is not so useful and thus empty. To make matters worse, word on the street is that the landlord has doubled the rent, making the future even murkier for Julie's.
