FiDi Steak Lounge Now Called 5A5, Opening Tomorrow

Jackson Square: Following a soft opening that lasted, oh, three months, the ex-Frisson space will finally open officially tomorrow. However, thanks to some objections from A16, the name has been changed from A5 to 5A5. Allen Chen—last seen at Alexander’s Steakhouse—has been named the executive chef, and a look at the menu [.pdf] reveals that there's a strong emphasis on lounge-style food (hence, a steaklounge that has a guest list).

Also notable and eyebrow-raising: there's an entire menu section dedicated to A5 Wagyu steaks, which, if we're reading correctly, you pay for by the ounce, meaning there are three $152 steaks and one $200 steak on the menu.
