THE MISSION—Tonight, Flour + Water debuts on the corner of Harrison and 20th. They won't be taking reservations until next Thursday, so tonight is walk-ins only. There's a wood-burning oven involved (pictured), and all items on the menu—antipasti, pizza, pasta, et al.—are $20 and below. THE MISSION—More Italian news from the 94110: starting June 1, Bar Bambino will open on Mondays. They'll be implementing a Monday Supper special: $35 per person, $10 for a quartino of wine, with the weekly menu varying based on a different region. OAKLAND—The Oakland Trib reports that the restaurant side of Di Bartolo has closed. We'd surmise that the 3308 Grand Avenue space is a prime candidate for the Pizzaiolo spinoff near the Grand Lake Theater. Story very much developing... [IBA]
