FINANCIAL DISTRICT—Lady Hopstress shares all kinds of details about Wexler's, the upcoming BBQ joint from Charlie Kleinman. Among other tidbits, it's slated for an early June debut, Aidlin Darling Design (also of Bar Bambino) is doing the "rustic-chic" design and there's homemade pie involved. STREETS OF SF—We didn't get a chance to touch on the big street food article from the weekend, but not only is the Creme Brulee Cart going on hiatus, SF almost had a falafel/salad cart before the red tape proved too much to overcome. And then we have this character. [EaterWire]

SEBASTOPOL—Up north, the PressDem reports that the iconic Alice's Restaurant is in the midst of an ownership change, has shuttered, and will reopen as something called Pesto. Former owner Alice Ferry will be somewhat involved, and the new spot will serve seven types of pesto, naturally. [PD]
