2009_06_OK2.jpg1) West Portal: The City lost what might be its only Polish eatery yesterday with the closing of Old Krakow. The saving grace is that the restaurant will almost certainly reemerge in the future. According to our sources, three possible locations are being considered for a new space, but it will be a few months before a decision. [ShutterWire]

2) Inner Sunset: The weekend was also a swan song for the Ninth Street branch of Cafe Gratitude, where a goodbye note thanked the neighborhood in spite of not being one of its "profitable" locations (lease woes ultimately did them in). There's no word yet on what will take the space, but up next for the Cafe Gratitude people is their vegan taqueria on Mission, Gracias Madre. [ShutterWire]
