Plywood Report: Rick House, Showdogs, Trademark, More!

New, 2 comments

1) Financial District: On Kearny, the Bourbon & Branch guys have unveiled the shiny facade of their new project in the former Ginger's space, Rick House. And she's a doozy, with the barrel theme predominant, and since it looks like they took over the space next door too, we have a feeling that the tiny Ginger's will be a distant memory. [PLYWOOD]

2) North Beach: At 454 Columbus, many have been intrigued by a mysterious window display featuring only an old-fashioned deli slicer and a "Coming Soon" sign. Is yet another deli headed for North Beach? [PLYWOOD]

3) Market Street: A tipster sends in the first look at Showdogs' location on Market and Taylor. Details on Foreign Cinema's fancy hot dog joint emerged last week and it's anticipated to be a month or so away. [PLYWOOD]

4) Belden Place: Over in the old Voda space, new backlit signage is up at Trademark, but still no word on a possible opening date for the Elite Cafe spinoff. More info as it comes in, natch. [PLYWOOD]

5) The Fillmore: Things are also getting very close over at Gussie's Chicken and Waffles. The entire place has gotten a quick facelift, storefront logos are up, and as noticed by the MenuBlog last week, hiring is underway too. Bonus: you can follow Gussie's progress on the Twitters. [POST-PLYWOOD]
