Almost a year and a half after his eponymous Jackson Square restaurant shuttered, Scott Howard has set a date for his return to the dining scene at Five in Berkeley's Hotel Shattuck. Via his Twitter comes the news that the bar (with "well edited" bar menu) opens today and the restaurant opening is set for next Tuesday. Update: Someone got ahead of themselves: "A little too excited over here- bar service is open to hotel guests only! Public opening dates- Bar on 6/29 and Restaurant on 7/3." [Twitter]
