Last we heard from the Sunset branch of Cafe Gratitude, the wacky/infuriating vegan restaurant had lost its lease and switched over to a month-to-month deal. After about two months in that format, the Ninth/Irving location will shutter next weekend, with the 14th being the last day of business. No word on what, if anything, will be moving into the space, but word on the street is that the landlord wants to sell. In other Gratitude Empire news, we're told that the, ahem, vegan taqueria called Gracias Madre is now on track for a July debut in the Mission. [BAV/EaterWire]
