The Mission: Here we have Jivano's Cutlery, a quaint knife-sharpening shop on 18th Street between Guerrero and Dolores, almost equidistant from Bi-Rite Market and Bi-Rite Creamery. Per the owner, the shop will soon close because Bi-Rite has bought the building and is considering opening a sandwich shop in the space. Importantly, Bi-Rite is quick to point out that nothing is confirmed yet, and they're always mulling a number of new business options. That said, according to sources—if all goes to plan—the switchover would take place in September, meaning that Bi-Rite's growing empire could soon include a third outpost on that stretch of 18th Street. Either way, Bi-Rite's brand expansion is likely very imminent.
