Plywood Update: Another Pizzeria Moseys Into Town

North Beach: More details have emerged regarding Pulcinella, the Vallejo/Columbus newcomer that was first mentioned a few weeks back. Surprise surprise, Pulcinella going to be yet another pizza joint, also specializing in the Neopolitan pie style. Of course, at this point, it's hard to say if it'll actually compete with the incumbent pizza heavyweights—Tony's and Golden Boy—or merely wallow in the neighborhood's (sadly growing) moat of shitalian restaurants. For what it's worth, the team is an experienced one, with resumes including a litany of Italian joints around town (Poesia, E Tutto Qua et al), and live jazz is involved too, so at the very least, tourists will be attracted to the noise. It's aiming for a Saturday debut.
