Spot some fresh plywood on your block? The tip jar awaits.
1) SoMa: News about Ironside broke back in March, and with the full buildout nearing completion, the project from the guys behind District could be arriving in as soon as a month. Set in the Chronicle Books building (and featuring some lovely exposed brick in its two levels, as seen above), the idea is to be a neighborhood hangout of sorts, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. [PLYWOOD]
2) Financial District: A tipster sends along word that signage is up for Barbacco, Perbacco's more casual wine bar-ish spinoff next door. However, with August already here, those promises of "late summer" might have to be adjusted, because the interior is still pretty much all raw. [PLYWOOD]
3) SoMa: Lady Hopstress and Her Merry Band of Interns took a thorough look at Fondue Cowboy this week, but directly next door at the corner of Folsom and Russ is another newcomer called Beauty Italia. It's going to be an unrelated, self-service deli that will be, obviously, Italian-centric. [PLYWOOD]
4) Polk Gulch: Finally and shockingly, the exterior shell is down at Booth, the long-delayed neo-diner concept in the old Polk Street Station space. Still no word on whether it's actually happening (a similar unveiling took place at sister joint Grub), but at this point, it's probably not worth holding any breaths. Update 8/3: Looks like she's a goner; "For Lease" signs went up over the weekend. [PLYWOOD]
