2009_07_americana.jpgJoey Chestnut, the pride and joy of San Jose, took the top prize at the Nathan's International Hot Dog Eating Contest for the third year in a row. This year, Chestnut set a record—68 hot dogs in ten minutes (think about that)—in defeating rival/former champion Takeru Kobayashi, who "only" downed 64.5 hot dogs. But as the Mothership points out, it really should be noted that the elephants smoked all their asses. [SE]
