EaterWire: Corey Lee Leaves Kellerville, Carte415 Open, Mochica Goes to the Coast, MORE!

SAN FRANCISCO—Right on schedule, Corey Lee has left his position as chef de cuisine at the French Laundry. Per the Scoop, Lee is still looking for a space in San Francisco for his solo venture, but the concept remains the same: "four courses for just under $100, or a longer menu of 10 to 14 'bite-sized' courses..." SOMA—Joshua Skenes' Carte415 officially made its debut today, and Grubz has the sample menu. 101 Second Street, at Mission, (415) 567-0415; website [EaterWire, previously]

MONTARA—Chef/owner Carlos Altamirano (Mochica, Piqueo's) is opening a third restaurant in the ginormous (10,000 sq. ft. over three levels) Chart House space on the coast; he's enlisted Michael Brennan to design the project, called Costanera. [EaterWire]

SOMA—And there's apparently more street action in the SoMa/FiDi area. Via @foodzie: "There's a new crepe cart soon to open between 2nd and 1st in SOMA." [Twitter]

TELEVISION—There's more coverage on Top Chef Masters on tap for tomorrow, but to get the juices flowing for tonight's episode, let's see what The Feedbag thinks about the Quickfire challenge, which involves gourmet vegan food: "I would literally rather be eaten alive by giant hookworms than watch this ... this is just wrong on so many levels. As perverse as the vegan part is, I think the “gourmet spin” is even worse." [T-FB]
