Eater Guide: Navigating the Soul Food Farm Benefits

Last week, as you probably heard, Soul Food Farm suffered a crippling fire. It's one of the Bay's best-known and well-regarded farms, with customers including Chez Panisse, Coi and countless others. As broadly mentioned last week, several Bay Area restaurants helping out the beleaguered farm. This past Saturday, Mission Street Food donated proceeds to the recovery, but there are a few more benefit dinners of note on the horizon. So, excuse us if we get a little servicey for a moment, but here are the specifics for the Soul Food Farm benefits as of today (others are expected to surface soon too):

Date: Now through October 1
Restaurant: Bi-Rite Market and Bi-Rite Creamery
Details: A raffle runs until the end of the month. Tickets can be bought at both Bi-Rites and are $5 each or five for $20. See Soul Food for more details.

Date: Monday, September 28
Restaurant: Melissa Perello's Monday Night Dinner at Sebo
Details: Four-course menu, $55 per person, two seatings (6pm, 8:30pm.). Don't call Sebo directly. Reservations accepted via email only at monday_night@me.com.

Date: Monday, October 5
Restaurant: Cafe Rouge, Berkeley
Details: Several guest chefs will each prepare a dish. Tickets are $50 and are available via Brown Paper Tickets.

Date: Sunday, October 11
Restaurant: Pizzaiolo, Oakland
Details: Informal reception on Pizzaiolo’s “day off with hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, and a raffle and silent auction. Tickets will be $10 and include one raffle entry. More details to come on the SFF Blog.

UPDATE:
Date: Sunday, October 11
Restaurant: Il Cane Rosso, Ferry Bldg.
Details: Two seatings: first is 5:30-6pm.; next is 7:30-8pm. Menu is a three-courser, served family-style, $50 per person, including wine (exclusive of tax and gratuity). For reservations, call: (415) 391-7599. Co-sponsored by Il Cane Rosso and Coi. All proceeds benefit Soul Food Farms.
