2009_07_54mint.jpgBaueriffic finally chimes in on Mint Plaza's 54 Mint, finding plenty of charm, coupled with a number of disappointments and euphemisms: "The atmosphere is chaotic, nothing works quite right, but everyone and everything is utterly charming... They're combinations that don't stand on pretense, food that truly feels as if it was made in a home rather than a restaurant. Of course, we're always more forgiving of our grandmothers' foibles, and not everything is as good as it could be." Final grade: just two stars. [Chron]
