THE MISSION—As noted by the Examiner, the folks behind Sozai will be teaming up with chef Nicolaus Balla (O Izakaya) to open up Nombe. Set in the Tacos Santana space (Mission/21st), it will feature "an izakaya style menu in an 80+ seat eatery." ETA is November. [Examiner]

HAYES VALLEY—Lady Hopstress reports that Jardiniere's executive chef of a decade, Craig Patzer, is leaving after ten years in the kitchen there. Morgan Mueller of Bacar will be taking his place. [TH]

TENDERLOIN—Apparently, the late night experiment this past Friday and Saturday went well, so the Show Dogs gang is staying open until midnight on Friday and Saturdays until South Pacific runs its course from September 19 to October 25. [EaterWire]
