Eater Spot Check: Grub Taking Shape, Slowly But Surely

New, 1 comment

The Mission: For a bit of Friday morning viewing pleasure, behold the first shots of the developing interior of Grub. The Mission's upcoming modern diner has been stop-and-go for years, but the build-out is finally moving forward in a big way, complete with lots of red padding and everything. Though the concept (comfort food done well) remains mostly the same and will still try to give Boogaloo's a run for its brunchtime money, the man behind the project is now Erik Reese, who is also part of the group responsible for the rebirth of Mayes on Polk. Mayes will arrive first, likely in October, and then Grub will follow.
