Beautifull, Tacolicious, The Sandwich Spot and More Debut

New, 3 comments

Barbacco isn't the only new kid in town this week. As always, if you spot a fresh opening on your block for The Dish, do share with the class.

1) Inner Sunset: Over the weekend, the second location of Beautifull opened just off the corner of Ninth and Irving. As reported earlier, it can be found in the old Pasta Pomodoro location. Like the Laurel Heights original, Beautifull #2 offers the same type of healthy food to go—or stay; there are 24 seats inside and 12 seats in the heated outdoor patio—from former Aqua chef Ron Boyd. 816 Irving Street, at Ninth; 415-664-2033, website [EaterWire]

2) The Marina: Gone are the last remnants of Laiola, and tonight's the night for Tacolicious, Joe Hargrave's new taco venture on Chestnut that is ready to make the leap from Ferry Building stand to fully-fledged restaurant. For now, it's a dinner-only affair, but the plan is to be open from 11:30 AM to midnight starting next week. 2031 Chestnut Street, near Fillmore; 415-346-1966, website [EaterWire]

3) The Marina Bonus: Just on down the road, the first San Francisco location of the Sandwich Spot is up and running. According to the website, it's the eighth location of the chain, with most other branches in the fine hamlet of Sacramento. It closes at 6PM on most nights though. 3213 Pierce Street, between Chestnut and Lombard; 415-829-2587, website [EaterWire]

4) The Mission: The Mission gets its miniature cupcake shop with the debut of Mission Minis, the company that has been catering around town for a while and also has a kiosk in North Beach. The cupcakes, not the shop, are miniature. 3168 22nd Street, between Capp and Mission; 415-378-7827, website [EaterWire]
