Gail Simmons to Play the Padma Role on Just Desserts

Eater National brings word that the latest Top Chef spin-off, Top Chef: Just Desserts, will be hosted by none other than longtime Top Chef judge and Food & Wine cutie, Gail Simmons. All respect to Kelly Choi, but thank goodness they made the right decision this time around. Perhaps the Just Desserts gig will serve as a test run for a possible hostess gig on the real Top Chef when/if Padma goes on a maternity leave? Elsewhere in the Bravoverse, the second season of Top Chef Masters will premiere on April 7. Mark those calenders.
