Terroir Returns, The Castro Gets More Newcomers

The first half of the week already saw some newcomers, and now let's round up a few of the openings taking place on the tail end of the week. Most have been mentioned around these parts, so we'll keep it short.

2009_10_terroir.jpg1) SoMa: After a renovation hiatus that ended up lasting nearly three months, Terroir finally returns in all its biodynamic glory today. The "natural merchant and wine bar" reopens the doors at 5PM, and as noted on S-Foodie, the plan is that nothing will have changed. 1116 Folsom Street, between Seventh and Eighth; (415) 558 9946; website [EaterWire]

2) The Castro: A few newcomers are hitting the Castro this week. As noted, old-timer Leticia's opened yesterday (and spurred quite the neighborhood discussion) in its new digs on the corner of Market and 15th. A little on down the road, The Residence will open in the old Amber space, without smoking and with fancy cocktails. And also with chaise lounges from a former ambassador. 718 14th Street, between Market and Church; 415-797-8866 [EaterWire]
