Miette's Hayes Valley Branch Rescued From Its Deathbed

Proving it's not all doom and gloom by any means today, the Hayes Valley branch of Miette has miraculously been saved. In November, it came out that Miette would be shuttering its two retail shops outside the Ferry Building, but thanks to "some last-minute renegotiations," the Octavia outpost will not be closing after all. Instead, like many other spots around this week, the confiserie will take the opportunity to make some quick remodels and touch-ups.

In less sparkly news, the Chestnut location is still slated to close at the end of the month. At least as of today. Stay tuned.
