7x7 spills the beans on an ambitious, ideal-driven concept from Medieval Jewish Mysticism grad student Yaron Milgrom-Elcott and chef Jake Des Voignes, the latter who was last seen at Fish & Farm. Set in the old Alhambra space off 24th and Folsom, it's going to be called Local Mission Eatery (have fun with that, Google search), and goes something like this: "high concept" sandwiches during the day, food classes for home cooks and professionals alike at night, a cookbook-lending library, and prix-fixe dinners twice a week a la Saison. Should be an interesting concept to watch unfold; due date is early February. [7x7]
