Mission Chinese Food has added a new dumpling station up front in the window. Now you can watch chef Danny Bowien poach Prather Ranch pork dumplings in ham broth every day for lunch and dinner. They come six to an order with ginger pickled cabbage, but you can't order them to-go or for delivery. Other eat-in only items on the latest menu include West Lake lamb dumplings with braised peanuts and an egg custard served with chicken confit, hokkaido scallop, chysanthemum and winter melon consommé. Danny and co. are also filming an ep of The Cooking Channel's new hot and spicy food centered show -- with the working title of Hot and Spicy Special -- this weekend at the restaurant and are in the process of installing live fish tanks for future menu adventures.
