The New York Times reports that the director and "face" of the Michelin guides Jean-Luc Naret has announced he will retire from that post at the end of the year. During his tenure he expanded the guides to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Macao, Kyoto, Osaka, San Francisco, and soon, Chicago (due November). Allegedly, he is parting on good terms. [Diner's Journal via EN]
