Humanely raised meat guru and source of many a Bay Area hamburger, Prather Ranch is expanding. You've likely tried their meats at a number of local eateries: from Slanted Door, Perbacco, Aziza and Mission Beach Cafe to Boccalone, Camino and Fish in Sausalito. Everyone's doing it. They've already got #32 in the Ferry Building (pictured) and now the plan is to flip over into two spaces on the opposite side of the hall, doubling square footage so they can offer quick service items throughout the day. Erica Holland-Toll, who departed Ducca in September, will oversee a hearty array of lunch options like hand-cut chuck chili, salads, soups, breakfast things like scrapple and a crispy pork chop sandwich with seasonal jam and housemade pickles and condiments. The existing location will remain open up until the new one opens across the way next spring.
