After taking a hiatus last year, San Francisco magazine's autumnal food and wine festivus, FallFest, is back this Saturday, October 9. This year includes a never-before-seen professional tequila cocktail competition and an amateur lamb grill-off hosted by the Lamb Board. Of course, the list of participating restaurants is excellent, with places like Absinthe, Spruce, Chez Papa, Gitane and Out the Door representing a small fraction. Local chef Joey Altman's band, last seen at SFChefs, will also be playing, so you know things could get nutty.
