Blogstar-cum-restaurateur Robert Lauriston's Locanda da Eva reopened yesterday with the aforementioned refresh from Shawn E. Hall Designs. The yellowy white walls of yore were painted to a brown burnt caramel shade. The team replaced the art in the bar area with mirrors, switched out the tea cup lights in the dining room and removed the curtains between the booths. Compare the above to our original Eater Inside: white walls, colorful art, etc.; and this design study shows what a little color and cosmetic work can do for a place.
