Crave City, Freshii, All Spice and More!

We have some biggies this week; what with Elizabeth Falkner bringing on Citizen Cake, and more casual concepts than we're used to from Josh Skenes with Dcantr and Michael Tusk with Cotogna. But there are still more openings from the week to catch up on. Here goes:

1) Embarcadero: Toronto-based eco lunch chain Freshii opened its second San Francisco outpost yesterday at 4 Embarcadero Center with this nice deal offer for the first week in business. Remember the first one opened in October on Bush Street. [EaterWire]

2) Marina: Now you can have chicken wings with your caprese salad, kofta and Egyptian pizza. Crave City has opened on Chestnut street. [ISSF]

3) San Mateo: Sachin Chopra will start up with the modern Indian fare today at his new restaurant All Spice in an old Victorian. According to GrubStreet, Chopra is on a quest to demystify spices from all over the East. [GrubStreet]

4) San Jose: Whole Foods opened a very green sounding outpost down South on Wednesday. [EaterWire]

5) Gilroy: After a controversy over its flagrantly yellow exterior paint job, Mi Pueblo Hispanic grocery chain opened at 727 1st St last weekend. Things have gotten cheerier in there since they agreed to tone down the heat outside. [Gilroy Dispatch]
