Back-From-Vacay Bauer hits up Hog & Rocks, the new Mission spot from Scott Youkilis and another example of the bar-staurant trend he noted in his Bar Agricole review. Bauer likes everything the bar stakes its name on: oysters, cured ham and cocktails, but for certain dishes -- like the lamb belly and bratwurst -- "the combinations don't quite come together." Staff does "a pretty good job" and overall the restaurant "may not break any new ground, but it's a lively neighborhood watering hole," firmly planted in two-starville. [Chron]
