FIDI - Signore Lucchesi breaks word that Midi is closing and Joseph Manzare of Joey & Eddie's/Beebo is moving in. His new concept will be called Hecho, a sushi and tequila (innovative!) idea he's been mulling for a very long time. The plan is to unleash the thing in mid-February and it does sound like a fitting choice for Valentine's day now doesn't it. [ISSF]
THE GIANTS - Our winning World Series team consumed 12 cases or 144 bottles of Mumm Napa Brut Prestige bubbly during last night's celebration. According to an Eater informant, they arrived back in the Bay Area at 2 or 3 a.m. this morning. [EaterWire]
CHOCOLATE LOT - It appears Louis Rossetto, CEO of local chocolate love Tcho, has been pimping out the goods to scores of chefs in NYC. The thinkage: consumers will be more likely to buy the chocolate if chefs use it. But chefs aren't exactly the easiest to win over either. [NYT]
NORTH BEACH - Enrico's says so much for keeping your political views private and pretty much tells the world -- or at least those standing on the South side of Broadway today -- what it really thinks of Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina. [Mission Mission]
CHEF SHUFFLES - Ozumo has promoted the 26-year-old Alex Morgan to executive chef. Inside Scoop has the run down on his background for interested parties. [ISSF]
Soon to be Hecho. [Photo: TabelscoopSF]
