OAKLAND - The Claremont Hotel & Spa will unveil an enormous gingerbread house tonight. They better have armed guards protecting it because that's the only thing that'll stop fatties like me from chowing down. [East Bay Express]
EMBARCADERO - Per Inside Scoop, MarketBar is starting breakfast service. This is fantastic news for FiDi'ers, those poor souls who go to work at the ungodly hour of 9:00 a.m. while the rest of the world sleeps. The food will range from pastries ($6) to full-blown meals ($14) and they'll serve weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. starting Wednesday, December 1st. [ISSF]
NOG IN, NOG OFF! - SFoodie alerts us to the 2nd Annual Nog-In at Fabric8 in the Mission. They're seeking eggnog entries that run the gamut from bacon nog (you know it's gonna happen) to vegan delights. In fact, the sign above was made for one of the last year's vegan entries by local artist, Jonas Madden-Connor. You should definitely enter but be careful, nog can become addictive. [SFoodie] [UA]
PREDATOR PAULA - Paula Deen tries to force pourable cream cheese (WTF?) down Rachel Ray's throat. It's pretty much the most uncomfortable few minutes of television since the Shake Weight. [EN]
MISSION - Humphry Slocombe produces an appealing looking product, the pumpkin ice cream pie. It's a Thanksgiving miracle! The pies are currently available in shop through Wednesday. [UA]
THANKSGIVING RECIPE - 7x7 has a ridiculously tasty looking recipe from SPQR for Pickled Cranberries. If you need me, I'll be bathing in a pool of it. I'll probably emerge looking like a young Geena Davis and have amazing superpowers. [7x7]
OAKLAND - GrubStreet alerts us to a pre-Thanksgiving Pop-Up General Store at Grace Street Catering in Oakland tonight from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Shop for small-batch stuffing, jam, coffee, and everything you need to make this Thanksgiving the most magical one yet. Aww. [GrubStreet]
