The Wall Street Journal has this thoughtful read on Bay Area restaurants -- mainly FiDi spots like Barbacco, Wayfare Tavern, Michael Mina and Boulevard -- and what they're doing to adapt to the wallet and time constrictions of diners these days. Even at these ostensibly higher-end restaurants -- non-shocker -- burgers, comfort food and non-alcoholic drinks are the name of the game. Then there's a bit where Oakland's Flora admits they're not doing so hot, but are still opening a taqueria down the street. [WSJ]
