Untzy Pants must have the same grapevine as The Kauff, because her review of San Dong House BBQ goes to print just two days later. She clearly revels in more non-noodle items on the menu than Kauffman, finding spicy charred stir fried cabbage that "evokes Korea," a cucumber salad in black vinegar-garlic dressing where "the balance is perfect" and she even finds the chewy skewers Kauffman dissed to be "sensually rewarding." Still, she agrees, "this is the place to come for Shandong-style lamian — hand-pulled noodles. And San Dong "makes a dreamy bowl of them." [Examiner]
