Dine About Town returns to San Francisco next month and the new list of participating restaurants has just gone live on the San Francisco Convention and Visitor's Bureau website. It's the usual drill: over 100 restaurants participating, two-course lunch menus for $17.95, three-course dinner menus for $34.95 -- all offered from January 15th to the 31st a.k.a. the weeks when no one in San Francisco wants to go out and eat.
New players this time around are Coda, Comstock Saloon, Ducca, Georges Restaurant, Hana Zen Sushi & Yakitori Bar, Kuleto's, La Terrasse, Marlowe, Mayes, Moussy's, Specchio, Skool, Sociale and the Velvet Room at the Clift. Keep in mind the whole DAT thing is nicest for people who generally order dessert, as it's included in the price of three courses at all places. If you don't like sweets, you'll be paying for them, so a la a carte is the better deal. In related events, the DAT launch party, wherein you can sample wines and bites from many of the participants, will take place on January 12th at Cityview at Metreon. It's just $25, proceeds go to Meals on Wheels and you can buy tickets here. Meanwhile across the bridge, the first ever Oakland Restaurant Week will also take place next month as well -- kind of a big deal! Inside Scoop has the skinny on all that.
